The UEFA Champions League had its fifth matchday this week, where big fixtures had even bigger results.

The Champions League’s matchday five has taken place, where all sides attempted to claim vital points for the standings.

The league phase has eight matchdays, and there have been five. It has become closer to deciding which sides will end within the top eight, meaning they’ll automatically qualify for the next round, and which others will be ninth to 24th, meaning they’ll have to go through an extra round to find qualification. Any number below this will find sides eliminated.

For now, matchday five gave us some massive matches, such as Chelsea vs Barcelona, Paris Saint-Germain vs Tottenham, and Frankfurt vs Atalanta, to name a few.

It was quite the matchday, as there were many big results, and they had a crucial impact on the standings for this league phase.

The next matchday will be on the 9th and 10th of December, a few weeks away, but also not too long away as well until all these sides begin their attempt for wins.
