The Premier League campaign came to an end on Sunday afternoon, with all the final standings being confirmed after an intense batch of last fixtures.

The Premier League has reached its end after the 38th match weekend was completed and the 20 clubs now know where they all have finished: from the top five all the way to relegation.

Going into the last weekend of the PL, all eyes were on the dramatic race for the top five, as five clubs had three spots remaining to attain, meaning three would be successful and the other two would have to miss out.

The battle was so close that it had to be decided on the 38th match weekend, as only a few points were separating third from seventh.

As the Premier League has now concluded, we take a look at the final standings and what each side managed to achieve.

The Premier League final standings

1 Liverpool - 84 points (Winners)

2 Arsenal - 74 points (UCL)

3 Manchester City - 71 points (UCL)

4 Chelsea - 69 points (UCL)

5 Newcastle - 66 points (UCL)

6 Aston Villa - 66 points (UEL)

7 Nottingham Forest - 65 points (UECL)

8 Brighton and Hove Albion - 61 points

9 Bournemouth - 56 points

10 Brentford - 56 points

11 - Fulham - 54 points

12 Crystal Palace - 53 points (UEL- FA Cup win)

13 Everton - 48 points

14 West ham - 43 points

15 Manchester United - 42 points

18 Leicester City - 25 points (Relegated)

19 Ipswich Town - 22 points (Relegated)

20 Southampton - 12 points (Relegated)

So, the final five consist of Liverpool, Arsenal, Manchester City, Chelsea and Newcastle, who have qualified for the Champions League, while Tottenham will also join to make it six clubs after their Europa League triumph last week.

Losses for Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest saw them unable to make it into the last three positions, therefore Aston Villa will be in the Europa League with FA Cup winners Crystal Palace and for Nottingham Forest, they have secured the Conference League.

A total of nine clubs will be representing the league in Europe, a massive achievement for all those who are among the names.

Elsewhere, in the relegation zone, it was Leicester City, Ipswich Town and Southampton whose time in the Premier League ends as they are the three relegated teams of this term, and they will head down to the Championship, from where Leeds United, Burnley and Sunderland will take their places.
