The Premier League had its sixteenth match weekend, where fixtures had big results.

The Premier League has had its sixteenth match weekend, where all sides were attempting to claim vital results.

Last time, results consisted of Aston Villa getting a 2-1 win against Arsenal, Manchester City defeating Sunderland 3-0, and Crystal Palace getting a 2-1 win against Fulham.

Going into it, Arsenal were leaders despite their loss to Aston Villa the week prior, but due to Aston Villa’s win and also Manchester City’s win against Sunderland, they were closing the gap on Arsenal. This made Manchester City and Aston Villa’s title race chances increase, giving Arsenal a task of remaining with their lead.

Chelsea and Crystal Palace were looking to remain in the top five, while others such as Manchester United, Newcastle and Sunderland looked to challenge them.

The games included Chelsea vs Everton, Crystal Palace vs Manchester City, and Manchester United vs Bournemouth.

As the league goes on, these matches and scores become more vital for every side, and for the ones currently in contention for the title, claiming victories is key. Even though Arsenal are ahead, there is a while to go, and it will be a big aim for them to keep themselves this way. For their opponents, they have to do their task by making sure they can keep up and remain in with a chance.

The next match weekend will be on the 20th, 21st and 22nd, where Brighton will meet Sunderland, Everton will take on Arsenal, and Aston Villa and Manchester United meet.
