The Premier League's ninth match weekend has taken place, where all clubs attempted to claim vital results to add to the league standings.
Going into these fixtures, Manchester City, Bournemouth, and Chelsea were looking to add to their points to move closer to leaders Arsenal, who had the task of remaining as Premier League leaders, while Liverpool were looking to over take them and take back their place, and Crystal Palace and Sunderland would have been aiming to add to their positive results by claiming more.
During the previous match weekend, Manchester City got a 2-0 win against Everton, Liverpool were defeated 2-1 by Manchester United, Aston Villa had a 2-1 win over Tottenham, and Bournemouth and Crystal Palace had a 3-3 draw.
Among the games that just took place, there was Chelsea vs Sunderland, Aston Villa vs Manchester City, Newcastle vs Fulham, as some of the biggest fixtures of the match weekend.
With the table currently so close, every result is vital and could be the difference in how every side’s Premier League season goes, even though it’s still very early on.
