The Premier League had its fifteenth match weekend, where more fixtures saw crucial results.
The Premier League has had its fifteenth match weekend, where sides attempted to claim vital results.
Going into this, Arsenal remained leaders after a 2-0 win against Brentford, while Manchester City’s 5-4 win against Fulham and Aston Villa’s 4-3 win against Brighton kept them near Arsenal. Chelsea’s loss to Leeds and Liverpool’s draw with Sunderland pushed them further away, while a result for Crystal Palace boosted them.
Among the fixtures, there was Aston Villa vs Arsenal, Sunderland vs Manchester City, and Newcastle vs Burnley.
Even though Arsenal were leading the way, their opponents were still within a place that kept them as potential contenders for the title race, and while a lot of that depended on Arsenal’s results, the others still had to do their task to remain in with a chance.
After these matches, the table and the race for the Premier League title took a turn, and proved why every result is crucial.
The next match weekend will be on the 13th, 14th, and 15th, where Manchester City will be meeting Crystal Palace, Sunderland will take on Newcastle, and Arsenal meet Wolves.
Let’s take a look at the results in the PL and how the standings now look after these games.
