The Premier League match week twenty-six displayed many crucial results for the sides.

The Premier League’s twenty-sixth match week had big games where vital wins were claimed.

Going into it, Manchester City had a dramatic 2-1 victory against Liverpool and Aston Villa got a 1-1 draw with Bournemouth. While Arsenal gained a 3-0 victory in their Sunderland task.

Chelsea did enough against Wolves, Manchester United were triumphant in getting a result against Tottenham, and Liverpool missed out on adding points.

These midweek fixtures included Aston Villa vs Brighton, Manchester City vs Fulham, and Liverpool vs Sunderland.

The Gunners are ahead in this title race, but City and Villa are not ruling themselves out. The quest for the top five is also becoming more arduous, with many sides attempting to make it into these placements. And the relegation safety bid has Wolves and Burnley most likely to be exiting, but West ham have begun getting positive products, putting a threat towards Nottingham Forest, Leeds, and Tottenham.

The next games will be on the 21st, 22nd and 23rd. This will be a full match weekend, but a few days before, on the 18th, there will be Wolves vs Arsenal, due to the date being changed to accommodate the Gunners' Carabao Cup final.

Before then, there will be FA Cup encounters. This is another competition where multiple PL clubs are in contention.

Let’s take a look at the scorelines and the table.

The Premier League results

Everton 1-2 Bournemouth

Tottenham 1-2 Newcastle

Chelsea 2-2 Leeds

West ham 1-1 Manchester United

Nottingham Forest 0-0 Wolves

Aston Villa 1-0 Brighton

Manchester City 3-0 Fulham

Crystal Palace 2-3 Burnley

Sunderland 0-1 Liverpool

Brentford 1-1 Arsenal

Crucial wins for the Citzyens and Aston Villa, especially since Arsenal were only able to gain a draw.

United and Chelsea had draws as well, elsewhere Liverpool got a slim victory, and Newcastle defeated Tottenham for three key points.

With Burnley's comeback against Crystal Palace, Wolves and Nottingham Forest draw and, West ham's shared result, this leaves many possibilities for relegation, giving multiple sides much to do.
