The Premier League had its match week twenty-one take place, and more matches had crucial results claimed.

The Premier League’s twenty-first match week featured, where all sides attempted to get themselves victories.

Going into this, Manchester City and Aston Villa were aiming to keep up with leaders Arsenal, after the Cityzens drew 1-1 with Chelsea and Villa’s 3-1 win against Nottingham Forest. Defeating Bournemouth 3-2, Arsenal added to their gap over their rivals.

Meanwhile, Liverpool’s 2-2 draw against Fulham and Chelsea’s draw with Manchester City kept them in the top five, but Manchester United, Sunderland, and Brentford weren’t far away. With many sides in contention for these placements, getting results is vital.

Among the midweek games, there was Manchester City vs Brighton, Brentford vs Sunderland, and Arsenal vs Liverpool.

Despite there is still a while left until a winner is decided, Arsenal do seem to be on their way to triumph. If they can remain on form, the title will surely be theirs. But the likes of Manchester City and Aston Villa cannot be ruled out, and even though a lot of what happens will depend on Arsenal, they have to do their task, which is getting wins.

The next PL fixtures will be on the 17th, 18th, and 19th. There is a break due to FA Cup commitments.

Brentford’s win takes them above Chelsea, and join Liverpool higher on the table. Newcastle and Manchester United also add to their bid.

Sunderland and Chelsea have a bigger task ahead of them after their losses.
