Arsenal play Fulham on Saturday, but regardless of the result in that game, Manchester City could heap pressure on them in the title race. City still has their game in hand, so they are in a great position to pip the Gunners at the post again for the title.
Winning the division could come down to goal difference. City would have been disappointed that they only defeated Burnley 1-0 in their last Premier League game, especially after Erling Haaland had given them the lead after just five minutes.
City will be expecting to beat Everton and improve their goal difference, too. Therefore, they will likely revert to their strongest XI after resting a few of their top players for their FA Cup win over Championship side Southampton.
Despite starting Phil Foden against the Saints, Pep Guardiola could leave out the player as they face the physical test of David Moyes' Toffees. Foden has been struggling with form this season.
Here is how City could line up against Everton.
Predicted Man City lineup vs. Everton (4-2-3-1)
Goalkeeper & Defenders
Gianluigi Donnarumma (GK) - James Trafford played against the Saints in the FA Cup semi-final, but Gianluigi Donnarumma is City's first choice when it comes to Premier League action.
Matheus Nunes (RB) - Matheus Nunes has been a reliable right-back for City all season.
Abdukodir Khusanov (CB) - Abdukodir Khusanov had one of the worst Premier League debuts ever, a bad mistake leading to a goal for Chelsea, and then a booking. However, he has bounced back from this and is one of the first names on Guardiola's team sheet.
Marc Guéhi (CB) - Since arriving from Crystal Palace, Marc Guéhi has played every single minute for City in the Premier League.
Nico O'Reilly (LB) - Nico O'Reilly could start this game at left back ahead of Rayan Aït-Nouri, as the Englishman will offer more of a threat going forward.
Midfielders
Rodri (CDM) - With O'Reilly potentially filling in at left-back, Guardiola will be hoping that Rodri is back fit to sure up their midfield.
Bernardo Silva (CDM) - If Rodri is back in the team, it will allow Bernardo Silva to have much more of a lease going forward.
Rayan Cherki (CAM) - One of the most entertaining players to watch in the Premier League. He is the maverick who can unlock Everton's defence.
Forwards
Antoine Semenyo (RW) - Antoine Semenyo joined City from Bournemouth in January and has scored five goals with one assist in 12 league games for Guardiola's side. However, he has not had a goal involvement in his last four matches in the division. This needs improving if he is to keep his place in the side.
Erling Haaland (ST) - Omar Marmoush started against Southampton, but Haaland will no doubt return for this matchup with Everton.
Jérémy Doku (LW) - After scoring against the Saints at Wembley, Jérémy Doku should be full of confidence.
Predicted Man City lineup vs Everton: Donnarumma; Nunes, Khusanov, Guéhi, O'Reilly; Rodri, Silva; Cherki; Semenyo, Haaland, Doku
