Xavi, the head coach of Barcelona, said that he has not spoken to Alex Garcia, the star of Girona's team, who has been considered one of Barcelona's targets.

Girona's captain has been recognized as the best midfielder in the Spanish league this season and openly admitted his desire to play for Barcelona before the Catalan club's interest became apparent.

Xavi admitted his admiration for player Alex Garcia but denied any contact with him, stating, "I said that I like him, yes, but I haven't spoken to him, and I don't know if we can bring in more players."

He added, "At the moment, there is no news about the transfer market, and I am constantly in touch with the president and with Deco."

Xavi expressed optimism about the new signing Vitor Roque, while rejecting speculation about big names in the transfer market such as Haaland and Mbappé. Pedri suggested that the first should be the alternative he dreams of in Barcelona after Lewandowski: "Unfortunately, we are not in a position to think about such signings. We have to stick with what we have and be outstanding."

He continued, "It will be a tough season, and we will need stability and unity. I think things have gone very well so far, and I hope we can repeat last season. I still believe we are on the right track."
