As the Women's Super League season comes to its near end, there still remains a question mark over who will lift the trophy; as Manchester City and Chelsea battle it out for top spot.

Women's club football is currently on a break as the players continue to represent their nations in a series of Euro qualifiers and friendlies.

Before the break occurred, Man City defeated Liverpool in a huge 4-1 victory, while Chelsea missed their WSL fixture as they played in the FA League Cup final alongside Arsenal, who got the better of Chelsea late into extra time and went on to claim the trophy.

Due to the situation just mentioned, Man City are three points above Chelsea, but Chelsea will have an extra game to get back to level points.

With certainty, it will be a thrilling end to the WSL season, with only four matchdays remaining.

It would also be safe to assume that if either City or Chelsea fail to earn three points in any of their upcoming fixtures, that would likely be the end of their title hopes.

For Man City, they only have the League title available, after crashing out of the FA Cup and League Cup. They have an incredible chance of winning the League, but they will have to give their all and more to do so.

With only four fixtures standing in between City and the potential WSL title, let's take a look at which opponents will be faced and what City's chances are against them.

Man City upcoming games - Our predictions

Man City vs West Ham

Prediction: Win

City should comfortably get through this game. While it might not be the easiest of games, it should still be one that City come out on top.

Bristol City vs Man City

Prediction: Win

The last meeting ended in a 5-0 win for the Cityzens, and the upcoming game should be as simple as that.

Man City vs Arsenal

Prediction: draw

Now, this will be the game that determines City's season. They've already played the Gunners twice so far, the first ending in a 2-1 loss in the League and the other being a 1-0 win in the FA Cup.

A draw would be far from the ideal scenario, it would likely be the end to City's winning attempt.

Arsenal were in the title race for a while, but now they stay six points behind first place, pretty much confirming they won't win the WSL.

City have been the better side this season, and have a better chance of winning that upcoming game than Arsenal do, however, we've seen mixed results from them and while City have much more to play for, Arsenal will give everything to get something out of that game.

Aston Villa vs Man City

Prediction: Win

This will be the final day of the WSL season, and City will hope to go into this match still with a chance of surpassing Chelsea. Obviously, if this game is to mean anything, then all the other games before this, will have had to go in their favour.

As for Chelsea, in the WSL they have five remaining games which consist of Aston Villa, Liverpool, Bristol City, Tottenham and Manchester United.

Some big names are in that fixture list, but Chelsea will still be preferred in them all.

their meeting with Liverpool will be an exciting one, but one where Chelsea's confidence will be understandable.

Spurs have sprung some surprises, the most noticeable one being the FA Cup, where they eliminated City. Spurs might be City's only chance of getting Chelsea not to win all three points, but again, that would still be a very big ask.

On the final day, Chelsea play Man United. If City are still in with a chance on the final day, then their rivals would need to assist them to win the title.

Now, let's move on to the biggest question of them all; will Man City win the Women's Super League?

Prediction: No

While City are more than capable and have such a realistic chance of actually achieving their goal, it seems more possible that it will be Chelsea who will go right to the end.

If both clubs go into the last day on equal points and it is to be settled on goal difference, City could be victorious based on that statistic.

It just seems that City are likely to drop points before Chelsea, and despite how well they have done this season, we sometimes see performances where it doesn't all go to plan, and that could be the case with Arsenal.

These upcoming games will be so vital for both clubs, but City will have to do even better than they have up until this point.

We are set for an exciting end to the League season, with many exciting fixtures filled with tension for the clubs and fans.
