Manchester City manager Gareth Taylor has given supporters an update on Khadija 'Bunny' Shaw ahead of Friday's Women's Super League task against Chelsea.

Manchester City have a huge upcoming game with Chelsea, the current League leaders, who are on 34 points compared to City's 31 points, and will need to get something from this fixture in their bid to claim the League title.

While if Man City were to fall short on Friday, it wouldn't be impossible to turn things around in the remaining games, but a six-point gap between themselves and Chelsea wouldn't be the ideal scenario.

Considering the importance of this game, fans were wondering if their star striker Bunny Shaw was going to feature after picking up a calf injury last weekend.

But, during the press conference, Taylor confirmed that Shaw will be able to play against Chelsea, much to the delight of the squad and their supporters.

Taylor said, " Bunny is fine; it's something she's managing, and she's raring to go. She's really important for us and has been such a focal point for the team."

The confirmation will bring ease ahead of the big game, and the City manager has said, "We're excited for the challenge" when discussing the match against Chelsea.

As for Arsenal, they are now three points behind the Cityzens and will meet Manchester United this weekend in their aim to get back level with Man City or even remain close to the second spot.

This will be City's second meeting with Chelsea this season, the first ending in a 1-1 draw, with a third upcoming in a few weeks' time in the Conti Cup semi-final.
