Who will win the Premier League? Take a look at our predictions for the final fixtures of the season
By Hidayah Ali
The Premier League title race seems as if it will go right down to the final wire, and with Manchester City and Arsenal only left with two or three fixtures each; who will win the Premier League?
With only a few weeks of the season remaining, Man City and Arsenal know that every single point from here until the final whistle of the last PL game is the difference between winning or just missing out.
Here, we'll share our takes and predictions on the upcoming games, and if the title chasers will be triumphant against their opponents or not.
Manchester City
Fulham - Saturday, the 11th of May at 12:30 (UK)
Predicted result: FUL 1-4 MCI
It should be a rather easier game for the Cityzens, who've already gotten a big win over Fulham already this season (5-1). This one will likely have the same outcome.
Three points = 85pts.
Tottenham - Tuesday, the 14th May at 20:00 (UK)
Predicted result: TOT 1-2 MCI
We know Man City always find themselves in a bit of a bother when they meet Spurs; they've had two encounters so far; the first ending in a 3-3 draw and the other in the FA Cup which City won 1-0.
It will be a close result -again- but the Cityzens will be fighting for their title, and Tottenham will have a huge chance to help their biggest rivals Arsenal towards the trophy (a bit awkward that), but City should be able to finish with the full set of points.
Three points = 88pts.
West ham - Sunday, the 19th of May at 16:00 (UK)
Predicted result: MCI 5-0 WHU
The final day of the Premier League will see this game played, and as you can see, we guess Man City will breeze through this.
Three points = 91pts.
Arsenal
Man United - Sunday, the 12th of May at 16:30 (UK)
Predicted result: MNU 2-4 ARS
City would also love their rivals to put a damper on their opponent's title hope, and while Man United will give Arsenal a close and nervy 90 minutes, after seeing the Gunner's results over Chelsea and Tottenham, they'll once again get themselves a great win.
Three points = 86pts.
Everton - Sunday, the 19th of May at 16:00 (UK)
Predicted result: ARS 3-0 EVE
Everton were the one who pretty much threw Liverpool out of the title race, and City would surely love to see Everton doing them another favour. But, Arsenal would be clear winners in this game, while the pressure of this being the final game would be a lot, they'd still be confident which will produce a decent result.
Three points = 89pts.
So, who wins the Premier League?
Final standings: Man City 91pts, Arsenal 89pts.
According to these predictions, indeed it would be Manchester City who would be crowned champions of the Premier League, with the Gunners just slightly missing out.
It's going to be a tough ride from here until the final stop, and both teams will give their all and even a bit more to be triumphant.
