The European Championships for 2024 came to an end, and for Manchester City, it was Rodri who reigned supreme as the Spanish perfectly made their way to the desired trophy.

After a whole month filled with various fixtures, and 14 Manchester City players, it was Spain and England who made it to the anticipated final. Phil Foden, Kyle Walker and John Stones's England were unable to overcome Spain, losing out on the title 2-1.

The first half of the final went goalless, which would have been considered as more of a relief for England than it would have for Spain. In the next 45, Williams scored the opening goal for the Spanish, giving them the 1-0 lead. Until substitute Cole Plamer equalised for the Three Lions. But despite bringing themselves back into the contest, England couldn't keep Spain away as Mikel Oyarzabal found the winning goal with only a few minutes of normal time remaining.

Throughout the tournament, it was Spain who really ever impressed viewers from the word go. They didn't lose a single game or even drop a single point, really showing their mentality and fight to win the Euros trophy.

Manchester were very well represented in this edition of the Euros, starting off with a total of 14 names included in their national squads. They also had the fortunate to have Cityzens involved in every single stage of the competition.

In the group stage, their Croatian duo Mateo Kovacic and Josko Gvardiol lost on being one of the best third-placed teams, in the round of 16 Kevin De Bruyne and Jeremy Doku's Belgium were unable to see off France, come to the quarter-finals, Manuel Akanji and Switzerland lost out to England on penalties.

Silva, Dias, Nunes and Cancelo also had to go to penalties to decide a winner between themselves and France, unluckily for them it was their opponent who made it through, and then the semi-finals saw Nathan Ake's Netherlands go out after a late 2-1 scoreline to England.

Then of course, we had the final between England and Spain; meaning there were four Manchester City players in the final, but only one who ended up with the trophy.

And to add alongside their already well-gone campaign, Man City have had three players chosen in the team of tournament; with Manuel Akanji, Kyle Walker, and Rodri, who also won Player Of The Tournament.

Deservingly, Spain had the most names chosen in this line-up with a total of six. But, Man City also have another privilege of being the only club to have multiple players mentioned in the list.
