Manchester City began their FA Cup campaign on Sunday afternoon against Durham, and due to goals from Laura Coombs, Mary Fowler, and a brace from Jill Roord, City were comfortable 4-0 winners and advanced to the next round of the Cup.

With fixtures coming in all three of their participating competitions this month, Gareth Taylor and the squad have many big tasks to complete. But, for the FA Cup, their attention can move away until next month when they meet their next opponents.

Man City possible opponents

Leicester City, Southampton, Birmingham City, London City Lionesses, Tottenham, Chelsea, Crystal Palace, Wolves, Arsenal, Brighton, Nottingham Forest, Charlton Athletic, Liverpool, Manchester United, Everton.

A total of 16 clubs are inclcuded in the draw, Man City's number being 14.

Man City would prefer to avoid a club like Chelsea or Arsenal just yet. While they do remain more than capable of surpassing both of those sides, the likelihood of them wanting to avoid one of those encounters for this round would make sense.

A meeting with Liverpool or Manchester United wouldn't be discouraged by them, especially with their results against them thus far in the season. A very close game with Liverpool in the League Cup, which ended 4-3 for City and then a 3-1 victory for them over their rivals.

Saying this, City are set to meet United this month as they play their final fixture of the League Cup group stage.

Another club that City may or may not want is Leicester City, who they have played twice thus far, the first game ending in a 1-0 win for City in the WSL and the other going the way of Leicester after a penalty shoot-out in the League Cup.

The draw for the FA Cup takes place on Monday,15th, at 19:30 (UK), and that's when we will find out the upcoming fate for the Cityzens.
