Manchester City's coach, Pep Guardiola, is rapidly approaching the record for most victories by a coach of major European league clubs in all competitions during the 21st century.

Currently, the top spot is held by Italian coach Carlo Ancelotti, managing Real Madrid, with 690 wins out of 1,113 matches. Guardiola has achieved 649 victories in 876 matches, leaving a narrow gap of 41 wins between them. The difference in matches played stands at 237, giving Guardiola the potential to secure at least 100 victories while coaching a major team.

Despite a recent downturn in results, Portuguese coach Jose Mourinho remains among the top-tier coaches, ranking third with 596 wins out of 975 matches.
