As Manchester City prepare for their last fixture of the month, manager Gareth Taylor has discussed the current situation of Dutch super player Jill Roord and whether she will or won't feature against Tottenham Hotspur.
Roord could only play for nine minutes before being substituted during their encounter with Manchester United in the League Cup a few days ago, and it has left the wondering question about the player's fitness.
Gareth Taylor stated this in his press conference, "Jill (Roord) is currently with the medical team. She's fine in herself, but we'll see how things settle down. She'll be assessed within the next 24 hours. She is in good spirits, and she feels okay."
While nothing seems clear just yet, and we will have to wait for anything further news regarding the player, positives can be taken from the statement provided by Taylor.
Another update on a player was also given, as the City boss has confirmed that Alanna Kennedy will be returning, "Alanna's back in contention. She's been in training for a while, but she's building up."
"Wednesday was too soon, but she will be in the squad at the weekend. That's a good one for us because we've missed her. Players have stepped up, but having someone like her back is good."
Manchester City will be meeting Tottenham this coming Sunday at 14:00 (UK), which will be there last game of the month.
They go into the fixture in second place, three points behind Chelsea, who will be playing Brighton a day earlier, and Arsenal continue sharing points with City, and they will face Liverpool on Sunday.
