The official FIFA website revealed the choices of national team captains and coaches for the "The Best" awards for the best player, goalkeeper, and coach in 2023.
Yesterday, FIFA announced that Lionel Messi, the star of Inter Miami, won the Best Player award, Ederson (Manchester City) won the Best Goalkeeper award, and Pep Guardiola (Manchester City) won the Best Coach award.
Salah participated in "The Best" voting as the captain of the Egyptian national team and cast his vote for the Best Player award for Lionel Messi in first place. Kevin De Bruyne came in second, and Erling Haaland came in third in Salah's choices.
Salah gave the advantage in the Best Goalkeeper award to Ederson, the direct competitor of Liverpool in the Premier League. Thibaut Courtois (Real Madrid) came in second, and Yassine Bounou, the former goalkeeper of Sevilla, came in third.
In the choices for the Best Coach, Liverpool's star preferred placing his former coach Luciano Spalletti in first place, followed by Pep Guardiola, and then Simone Inzaghi.
