The head coach of Manchester City, Pep Guardiola, provided the latest updates about his team in the press conference ahead of the match against Aston Villa in the English Premier League.

Manchester City will be a challenging guest for Aston Villa in the 15th round of the Premier League at Villa Park on Wednesday.

Pep Guardiola said in the press conference before the Aston Villa match: "Aston Villa is an excellent team with a fantastic coach (Unai Emery); he makes every team better, he is exceptional, and Aston Villa's level, especially at home, makes it difficult."

Guardiola confirmed: "Rodri and Grealish will not be available for the Aston Villa match due to suspension; perhaps there is an opportunity for Calvin Phillips; we will see that after today's training."

Guardiola explained, saying: "If you ask me today about my feeling after the way we played against Liverpool and Tottenham, my feeling is that we will win the English Premier League."

The Manchester City coach pointed out: "John Stones is ready to play; he was ready on Sunday. He can play as a midfielder from the start, not just as a center-back moving to midfield."

He added: "Of course, I am concerned about conceding goals, but I believe we are performing at least at the same quality as last season when we won the treble."

Manchester City currently occupies the third position in the overall standings of the English Premier League with 30 points, while Aston Villa is in fourth place with 29 points.
