My predicted lineup V Manchester United in the Community Shield.

On Saturday 10th of August, Manchester City will face Manchester United in the Community Shield final. Hoping to avenge the FA Cup final defeat in July. Some players have returned to training whom played at the Euros 2024 tournament and didn't take part in pre-season as per Manchester Evening News.

I think Pep Guardiola will be going with a 4-3-3 formation. In net, I think it will be Stefan Ortega in net like the FA Cup final. He normally plays in cup finals.

In defence I think it will be Gvardiol, Ruben Dias, Manuel Akanji, Rico Lewis. Only Gvardiol, who played at the Euros for Croatia, and Lewis played a decent amount of minutes in pre-season. I believe that they'll be the full backs.

In midfield I reckon, it will be Bernardo Silva, Kovacic, De Bruyne. Only Kovacic , out of the midfielders , Gvardiol's Croatian teammate, played in pre season despite playing in the Euros. He will be at defensive midfield covering for Rodri ,who won't be available as he is being rested as stated by Pep Guardiola recently.
Same for the other Euros finalists. In front of him Bernardo and De Bruyne will be the attacking midfielders in my opinion.

In attack, I reckon the trio will be Jack Grealish on the left , Erling Haaland up top and Oscar Bobb on the right. This was the trio that started all the pre season games , so it will be an attack with decent match fitness if picked.
