Manchester City will play their final game of the Champions League group stage today when they meet Red Star Belgrade.

As the last day of the group stage has approached, we are close to finding the 16 teams that will continue their UCL journeys. Only three spots remain to fill, but that isn't something for City to worry about as they will go into the new year with the hope of keeping their Champions of Europe title.

Manchester City will go into this fixture knowing they will be group winners despite the outcome of their game or Leipzig's game, as both teams have officially qualified, but with City having accumulated a greater amount of points, even a loss for them and a win for Leipzig wouldn't change the two around.

Pep Guardiola will indeed have his attention focused on the upcoming Premier League fixture at the weekend, where a victory would be much more important after they failed to win their last 4/5 League games. Therefore, with their UCL next-round ticket booked and their group win guaranteed, Pep can definitely afford to make some changes to his starting line-up today.

Red Star Belgrade vs Manchester City takes place at 17:45 (UK).
