Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp believes that dismissing Manchester City's chances of winning the English Premier League title this season would be the biggest joke in football history.

On Wednesday, City suffered a 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa, marking their fourth consecutive winless match in the Premier League and placing them six points behind leaders Arsenal.

"If someone rules out City, it will be the biggest joke in the history of football," Klopp said, as reported by Sky Sports.

He added, "Arsenal is fighting and has a similar experience to us (a late victory over Luton, similar to the Reds' win against Fulham). We have a good feeling, but we have to start the next match with a score of (0-0)."

Continuing, he stated, "Aston Villa is an amazing team. United is there. They may not be playing the football they want or the media wants, but they have the points."

Klopp concluded, "I am not confident about Chelsea's arrival, but the league is very strong. You have to have luck to overcome difficult moments, especially when suffering from injuries. Therefore, I do not know who will win the title. It is difficult. The question can be asked in the month of April."
