Jess Park shared what she thinks will be crucial in Manchester City's upcoming game with rivals Manchester United.

Man City have been eliminated from the Conti Cup and FA Cup, leaving only the Women's Super League to be fought for; they currently sit joint first with Chelsea and three points away from Arsenal.

This weekend, Manchester City will play Brighton and Hove Albion, while Chelsea and Arsenal meet each other on Friday, in which City hopes for a draw or even a win for the Gunners.

Whatever happens this weekend, the next game, the Manchester derby, will be a hugely important game for Man City's chances of securing the WSL.

Jess Park, 22 years old, named what she believes will play a huge part in getting a result out of that game: "The fans give us momentum; they give us confidence when they're loud."

"I think they're a massive part of the game. We want to play our best football, and when they're being really supportive, I think it helps us play well. "

"It's a massive game—it always is. We're focused, and we always want to win, so we're going to do our best to do that."

"I think we've been working really hard. We know what we want to do, and our current form only helps us going into the game. I'm a Manchester City supporter myself, so it's going to be a special one."

The supporters will undoubtedly play a significant part in getting City back to winning ways and will aim to do so in their meeting with Brighton on Sunday at 12:30 (UK).

As for Man United, they are preparing for a fixture against Bristol City and will hope a victory in that game will give them confidence going into the following week's derby.
