Manchester City's Phil Foden and double goalscorers on Sunday over Huddersfield Town spoke about his fellow teammate Kevin De Bruyne, who made his antiquated return to the pitch after months of absence.
Speaking with the Manchester City official website, Foden shared his thoughts after seeing De Bruyne being subbed on during the 57th minute.
"Everyone was buzzing to have him back. If we're going to win anything, we need him. He's one of the best players; no one can do what he does."
"You could see the stadium roaring when he came on, and it shows how big and important he is for us. To have him back on the field it gives us a lift as well. I'm delighted for him to come back, and hopefully, he remains injury-free because we need him."
With certainty, it can be said that fans of the club will be pleased to see their beloved midfielder officially back in matchday squads after four long months of De Bruyne being sidelined.
City have had a difficult season thus far concerning players and injuries, with multiple players missing matches on numerous occasions.
Manchester City has some key upcoming games in all their competitions this month, including the Premier League and the next round of the FA Cup, with the reminder of the Champions League round of 16 against Copenhagen next month too, and the return of the star player will be a massive boost ahead of these fixtures.
