Gareth Taylor shares Leila Ouahabi & Jill Roord fitness update

Manchester City are preparing for their second leg against Paris FC in the UEFA Women's Champions League qualifier tie. The Sky Blues have pretty much already sealed the deal after beating Paris FC 5-0 in their first encounter.
With the tie against Paris FC almost complete thanks to goals from Jess Park, Vivienne Miedema, Chleo Kelly and Mary Fowler giving them comfortability going into the second leg, it's safe to say that Man City's attention will be shifted to their women's Super League game against Brighton and Hove Albion this coming weekend.
The club have expressed their desire to have a successful season this time around, after failing to win any trophies in the season prior. In doing so, they will need all their players ready to go, but another injury worry has risen as Leila Ouahabi looks to be in doubt in some of the upcoming games.
But another name was also spoken about, as Jill Roord's current situation was discussed by the manager.
Garth Taylor gives updates on players' situations.
Starting with Leila Ouahabi, the city boss said "Leila came off in the first half and we're assessing her today, we haven't trained yet so I will find out more once we come out of this (press conference)."
"We have good options in the team and everyone is really champing at the bit and ready to do their bit. When we lost Bunny (Shaw) in a late situation last week, we were able to bring in Mary (Fowler) who did a tremendous job for the team. She brought a lot to the team last week and that's the type of situation you want, where players are contributing as much as they can."
He then moved on to Dutch intentional Jill Roord, who has been unavailable since last January due to an ACL injury but Taylor had some good news to share,
"This weekend (Brighton) is where you will see Jill Back in the squad. That was our plan over the last few weeks. She is in full training and performing at a huge level. The natural inclination is to get her involved sooner. And the way Jill has embraced her plan has been top. To get her back on Sunday for some period of the game is a testament to her and the medical team here."
After such a long time away, everyone will be delighted to hear that Jill Roord will be making her long-awaited comeback this Sunday against Brighton and Hove Albion. While she may only just be on the bench for that game, her participation looks to be arriving very soon.
