Ederson Moraes, the star of Manchester City, was crowned the Best Goalkeeper of 2023 at the Dubai Globe Soccer Awards ceremony yesterday. The Brazilian goalkeeper's accolade comes after the historic treble he achieved with Manchester City last season, winning the UEFA Champions League, the English Premier League, and the FA Cup.
Later, the English team also secured the titles of the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup.

His teammate, the Spaniard Rodrigo Hernandez "Rodri," won the award for the Best Midfielder in the world after his strong performances, including scoring the winning goal in the UEFA Champions League final against Inter.
Arab representation was also present through Egypt's Al-Ahly, which won the award for the Best Club in the Middle East after clinching the CAF Champions League title and finishing third in the Club World Cup.
At the same ceremony, Aitana Bonmati was awarded the Best Female Player of the Year, and Jorge Mendes won the Best Agent award.
