Manchester City continued their fine run of form in February 2026 as the club continues to chase silverware this season. The Sky Blues went undefeated, winning six of their seven matches. Additionally, they avoided the need to play two UEFA Champions League playoff matches in February, giving the squad a much-needed rest.

The results from February mean that Manchester City remains in contention for four trophies this season. The Sky Blues finished within the top eight places in the UEFA Champions League’s league phase, meaning they are through to the competition’s Round of 16. As for domestic football, Manchester City are in second place in the English Premier League table, five points behind current league leaders Arsenal, although the Gunners have played an additional match.

The Sky Blues are also in the Carabao Cup Final (where they will face Arsenal), and the Mancunians advanced in the FA Cup. There is still a lot of football to be played, but the Sky Blues are performing well this season.

March 2026 is a pivotal month for Man City

Manchester City will face a new set of critical matches in March 2026. They will play six matches across four competitions. Should the Sky Blues perform well, they may earn their first trophy of the 2025/2026 campaign and progress in other competitions for silverware. But should they stumble this month, then they will see themselves lose several opportunities to win titles during this campaign.

Manchester City will begin the month of March with an English Premier League home match against Nottingham Forest. The Sky Blues will host Forest on Wednesday, 4 March. This has been a close fixture between the two clubs over the past two seasons, and it is expected to be another close affair.

Following the EPL game, the Sky Blues will shift their attention to the FA Cup. Newcastle United will host Manchester City in the competition’s Fifth Round on Saturday, 7 March. This will be the fifth time these two clubs have played each other during the 2025/2026 season. Thus far, Manchester City have won three of the four encounters this season. Newcastle won the initial match during the 2025/2026 season at home.

After the FA Cup game, Manchester City will enter the Champions League’s Round of 16. They will face Real Madrid, which came as no surprise. Los Blancos will host the first leg of the tie, which will be played on Wednesday, 11 March. Real Madrid and Manchester City are fairly even in their head-to-head for this fixture. Having played each other 15 times, both teams are 5-5-5. It remains to be seen how these statistics will change after this Round of 16 tie.

Following the Champions League match, the Sky Blues will return to EPL action. They will travel to London to face West Ham United on Saturday, 14 March. Like the matchups against Nottingham Forest, games between West Ham and City have also been close in recent seasons.

After the EPL game, Manchester City will host Real Madrid in the second leg of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 tie. The match will be played on Tuesday, 17 March.

The Sky Blues will then conclude the month of March by playing in the Carabao Cup Final. They will travel to Wembley Stadium to face Arsenal on Sunday, 22 March.

In short, March 2026 will be a crucial period for the Sky Blues. Should they perform well, then they will progress in four competitions and potentially win a trophy. But should they falter, then their opportunities to win silverware this season will quickly disappear. Time will tell how Manchester City will respond to the pressure this month.
