Manchester City have announced the signing of Marc Guehi on a five and a half year contract.

Manchester City have agreed on a 20 million deal with Crystal Palace for Marc Guehi, as he becomes the Cityzens’ second transfer of the winter window.

Their first signing was Antoine Semenyo, who chose Man City and exited Bournemouth in result only last week, and since then, he has already claimed two goals for his new club, helping them get wins in the FA Cup against Exeter City and in the Carabao Cup meeting with Newcastle.

Reports did suggest that City were the top contenders for 25-year old Guehi, and on Monday afternoon, it has been confirmed by the club that the English defender will spend the second half of the season as a Sky Blue.

Overall, during his time at Palace, he secured more than 185 appearances and getting 11 goals in the meantime.

This adds another element of vigour to Manchester City’s squad, as they chase multiple honours. In the Premier League, it does seem as though their chances have decreased after a few draws recently, and also the latest 2-0 defeat to Manchester United. Therefore, they’ll be very determined in the Carabao Cup, where they are very near to becoming finalists, the FA Cup, where they have begun well, and the UEFA Champions League as well.

Guehi's possibility to be key for City is something he'll be aiming for.
