Manchester City have confirmed the arrival of Bournemouth and Ghana forward Antoine Semenyo, on a five and a half year contract.

Manchester City have officially signed Antoine Semenyo from fellow Premier League side Bournemouth in a £65 million agreement.

After speculation was going around about this transfer, it did seem extremely likely that the club would be bringing in the player.

This is the Cityzens’ first signing of the winter transfer window. With the form that Semenyo currently has, which includes being the third-highest scorer in the PL, many can agree that this is a good deal for the club.

The 26-year-old leaves the Cherries after securing 110 caps and also 32 goals. An impressive statistic that proves how valuable of a player he is.

After twenty-one matches in the Premier League this season, Antoine’s impact made him a top priority for Manchester City.

So far, Manchester City have kept themselves in contention in various leagues. However, in the PL, despite being nearby to leaders Arsenal, they have missed many opportunities to reduce the gap, though, the Cityzens do have potential in the title race. With Semenyo arriving, they’ll be hoping this added firepower will help them get the wins their aiming for.

According to Pep Guardiola, Antoine could be making his first appearance Man City in their FA cup fixture against Exeter City on Saturday, the 10th.

This will be a vital meeting in the Cityzens' attempt for honours.
