Manchester City Women have announced their first signing of the 2025 summer transfer window, as the Canadian international Jade Rose joins the club.

Manchester City have brought in their first player of the transfer window, after a few names were confirmed to have departed the club, such as Laia Aleixandri, who has just signed for Barcelona, and Jill Roord, now of Twente.

Canada's Jade Rose has agreed upon a four-year deal, keeping her at the club for a good few years to come.

Jade Rose shares excitement to be a Sky Blue

"I'm so incredibly excited, so proud of how far I've come, and I just can't wait to get started. I think the history of the club, the fans, the style of play, everything (attracted me)."

"I'm just excited to get started. I'm ready to win the Champions League, to win every trophy that's out there. I think the sky is the limit for this team, and I can't wait to grow and get at it."

"I think the style of play that the WSL offers is something I was really attracted to. Just the football culture too, the way they are involved in the players, the way the fans show up for the team week-in-week-out, that's something I really wanted to be a part of."

"I was really excited to make the move across the pond, and after speaking to the club, it just felt like home. (We spoke about) a wide range of things. Obviously, how I fit into the team and where they saw me was the core of the conversation, but a lot of it was what life would be like here, how they see me progressing throughout."

"My contract, how I can help the club, how the club can help me. Just everything, and it just felt like the place for me."
