Manchester City Women's team have confirmed the signing of Grace Clinton on a four-year deal.

Manchester City have recruited Grace Clinton as their latest transfer signing, right ahead of their first Women's Super League game on Friday night, where they'll be hoping to get off to a positive start.

Arriving from rivals Manchester United, Clinton now joins the Sky Blues as a permanent figure.

The 22-year-old also comes at the back of a big summer where she represented her national side, England at the European championships, where the Lionesses successfully retained their title.

Manchester City's transfer window has been rather busy, with many alterations made in the build-up to the new season. Grace Clinton joins Jade Rose, Iman Beney, Sydney Lohamann and Eartha Cummings as the new faces at the club.

Elsewhere, some names departed, including the likes of Chloe Kelly, Laia Aleixandri, Jill Roord, and recently, Jess Park.

Contracts were also renewed for Laura Coombs, Khadija 'Bunny' Shaw, and Yui Hasegawa as well. And, Andree Jeglertz was named the brand new head coach.

With all of these situations playing out, Manchester City's intentions are clear for their season: to contend and win at least one of the WSL, FA Cup, or League Cup.

Their first fixture will be on Friday, where they will meet league rivals Chelsea. A massive game to get the WSL underway.

Which players will appear remains to be answered, and whether Grace Clinton plays her first game for her new club will also be seen.

After her news was announced, Clinton spoke about joining Manchester City.

Grace Clinton on her Manchester City deal & her Euros success

"It feels amazing. I'm so excited. I'm excited to be here and meet the girls."

"It was amazing (the Euros). It still hasn't sunk in. Obviously, you get away for a little bit, then you're back to the routine of things and back to football, so I don't think it's properly sunk in, but it was amazing."

"I couldn't believe it when we did it, but I'm so proud of all the girls and what we achieved, and for me, it's another summer of learning and growing."

"Being on these stages is where you want to be, so I was very grateful for the opportunity."
