Manchester City have confirmed the contract extension of Alex Greenwood, who opens up about her choice to stay at the club.
Manchester City and Alex Greenwood have decided to extend their futures together, as the English player signs on until 2027.
Greenwood, the current captain of the Cityzens, will be remaining with Manchester City for another few seasons.
The player has already cemented herself as a club legend, and she plans on adding to that status while aiming to bring success to Manchester City.
So far, she has made a total of 152 appearances and looks to add more to that already commendable number.
Alex's experience has been crucial for Manchester City, something that has definitely been inspired and added to from her double European Championship titles. She'll be looking to end her time with the club with success like the ones she has achieved with her national side.
Greenwood is currently aiming to claim the Women’s Super League this season, after her side have begun in a rather positive manner that has resulted in them being the current leaders of the WSL.
There is a long way to go, but if the Citzyens can remain this way, they’ll be on course for success this season, if that could be in the WSL, League Cup, or FA Cup, either way it would be the achievement they're looking for.
