Manchester City have reached the final month of the 24/25 season and they have only two matches remaining in the Women's Super League.
Manchester City's 24/25 campaign is set to come to an end in the next few weeks as we arrive in May.
Man City's last aim for this season is to finish within the top three, so they can secure European football for next term. Disappointingly, they have failed to win a single trophy as they weren't able to compete with Chelsea in the WSL, the same went in the Champions League and the League Cup final, while they missed out on the FA Cup final after a meeting with their rivals, Manchester United.
So, now their last task is to surpass Manchester United in third place and knock them out of qualification for Europe.
Manchester City cannot overtake either Arsenal or Chelsea, who are firmly set in the top three and will be returning to the biggest club competition next season.
Manchester City May schedule
Manchester United vs Manchester City - Sunday, the 4th of May at 12:00 (WSL)
Manchester City vs Crystal Palace - Saturday, the 10th of May at 12:30 (WSL)
Women's Super League top three battle
Manchester City must accumulate every point available to them. They must earn six out of six in these last two matches.
Whereas their rivals cannot win a single one of their fixtures, at best only claim one point out of six.
A crucial match between both Manchester City and Manchester United will be the first match the new month, a game that will either keep the Sky Blues in contention for third or confirm United's top-three finish.
The final day of the WSL season will see Man City take on relegated side Crystal Palace and Man United meet second-place Arsenal.
If Manchester City complete their job and win both of their upcoming games, while Manchester United do not add more than one point, then it will be the Cityzens who end the season with a third-place finish.
