Manchester City's women will be returning to club football in September, where they'll be aiming for a successful 25/26 in the Women's Super League, FA Cup and also the FA League Cup.
Manchester City's women have had a busy month, which has been filled with many of their players participating in the women's European Championships, a competition that saw England defend their title and crown four Sky Blues, as Jess Park, Keating, Alex Greenwood and Lauren Hemp claimed glory.
Now, the focus will be on the upcoming season, where Manchester City will be challenging their opponents in various competitions. After a few tough seasons where the Cityzens have failed to accomplish their tasks, they will now hope to put everything behind them and put themselves at the top of women's football.
While the Women's Super League and FA Cup will be two of them, there will also be the FA League Cup, which has just announced the group stage draw.
The FA League Cup consists of five groups, some made up of four and some made up of five. Teams that qualified for the UEFA Women's Champions League, such as Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester United, are not placed within these groups; however, should Manchester United fail to qualify for the women's Champions League group stage, they would be added to a group. The other two would only start the League Cup as part of the last eight.
Let's take a look at which groups have been made and who Manchester City will be playing in the upcoming FA League Cup.
