Manchester City women’s team are back to undergo another crucial task this match weekend, where they’ll take on London City Lionesses.

Manchester City’s women's team are looking to claim an important win this match weekend against London City Lionesses.

So far, while the Cityzens began their WSL off with a loss to rivals Chelsea, they made up for that result by getting a 2-1 win over Brighton and then a massive 5-1 victory over Tottenham. This means Manchester City go into the latest match weekend with six points and on fourth.

With Chelsea sitting on first, with nine points and Manchester United and Arsenal with seven points, after they both drew with one another, and due to that making Chelsea sole leaders, Manchester City must remain gaining positive results if they are to compete with these opponents for the WSL.

Now, they will take on newly promoted side London, who so far have failed to surpass two of the league’s biggest names, as they have lost 4-1 and 5-1. However, they earned their first victory of the WSL, as they claimed a 2-1 win over Everton.

This will be quite the match, while Manchester City's latest results will prove they should be getting the win over London, it still won't be easy to predict.

For Manchester City, a win is needed. The race for the Women’s Super League will not be easy, and if they are to be contenders for the title, they must overcome these tasks. This match is set to take place on Sunday, the 28th at 12:00 (UK).

While the Cityzens take on London, elsewhere Chelsea prepare for West ham, Arsenal will encounter Aston Villa, and Manchester United will meet Liverpool.

All of this makes for another huge Women’s Super League match weekend, where every outcome will be vital for every side. Despite it being very early on in the season, the results come with massive importance, and for the title race, whatever happens will be crucial.
