Manchester City are set to play Brighton and Hove Albion in this Premier League weekend, with both sides fighting for three points in a bid for the top four.
Manchester City had a tough outcome last weekend when they met third-placed Nottingham Forest, who subjected them to a loss while claiming three points to help strengthen their lead on third.
Currently, City are fifth on the table, with equal points to sixth-place Newcastle United. But, their opponents Brighton are just one point behind them, and a win would take them ahead of the Cityzens.
While the race for the title has already pretty much wrapped up as Liverpool have gotten themselves a 15-point advantage over Arsenal, the battle we are now seeing until the end of the season will be for the top four, with eight clubs all in with a chance.
For Manchester City, their biggest aim is to finish within the top four and confirm their place in next season's UEFA Champions League, while also competing for the FA Cup as they head over into the quarter-finals, where a match against Bournemouth awaits.
This weekend will be crucial for the Sky Blues, who must earn points to achieve their quest, however, Brighton have been a surprise package this season and it's safe to say that this will be a tough encounter between the two.
This will be their last match before the start of the international break and will return with a fixture right at the end of the month in two weeks time.
Pep Guardiola looks ahead to the match
"Bournemouth, Aston Villa, Newcastle, maybe Fulham will be there. Fantastic teams, so it's not a surprise (Brighton's situation). I had the feelings they deserve to be there, they're really good and consistent and have incredible weapons."
"It's a big fight and not like a disappointment to be here, it's a challenge in that if we're able to achieve that and qualify, it'd be a huge success from my point of view."
"We don't have to recover eight or ten points, to go and wait for opponents to lose many games, it's just about us and depends on our behaviours and football if we are there or not."
"We know we have 10 games left, we have tough games like Brighton, Aston Villa, Bournemouth. Most of the games are really, really tough. We have to do it better because there are many teams with this target."
