Manchester City star midfielder Rodri has opened up about his current injury recovery status, expressing his determination to get back to his best.

Manchester City's Rodri was announced to miss the whole of the 24/25 season after sustaining a knee injury during City's 2-2 draw with Arsenal at the start of the campaign.

The 2024 Ballon d'Or winner's absence has really hit Man City hard, as we've seen them struggle throughout the course of this season in multiple competitions - the most notable coming as their fall in the Premier League, which sees the Cityzens fighting for the top four.

Manchester City will be counting down the minutes until the Spaniard makes his anticipated comeback to the power-fuelled squad and will hope that Rodri's presence will help City get back into their usual way of things.

Recently, Rodri made his way over to the USA for the annual Super Bowl game, where he was seen giving an update on his fitness status.

One fan even called out asking Rodri how his knee was doing, to which the City player responded by saying "Good, good. Very well, thank you."

"I'm feeling very good. In my head, everything is fine. I don't feel unstabe in the knee."

"I need to get the strength in the quads and everything. That's the most important thing."

"One thing is what you think and another is what the body does, so you have to make sure they connect again."

"In this kind of moment, I try to be positive and maybe do all the things you' 're not used to - like coming here. (Super Bowl)"

While the player's arrival could still be quite a while away, seeing his positive attitude towards the current situation is a rather pleasing sense of relief for Manchester City and their fans.

Right now, Rodri will continue to focus on his road to recovery and also, remain steadfast in supporting his team as they aim to overturn a 3-2 loss to Real Madrid in the UEFA Champions League.
