Manchester City met Newcastle over the Premier League match weekend, where they were defeated 2-1.

Manchester City’s meeting with Newcastle in the Premier League saw them defeated 2-1, and with this result, they are now seven points behind the leaders.

The Premier League match weekend saw crucial results, such as the Cityzens’ loss, and also Chelsea’s 2-0 win against Burnley, and Arsenal’s 4-1 win against Tottenham.

Arsenal now have a six point lead over closest opponents Chelsea, while Manchester City, who began the match weekend four points away from Arsenal, are now seven away.

Newcastle were 1-0 up with a goal by Harvey Barnes, but Manchester City’s Ruben Dias equalised to make it 1-1. However, a 2-1 lead and also win was found by Barnes, giving Newcastle the victory.

This result sees Manchester City make things a lot harder for themselves in this Premier League title race. They were already trying to keep up and found a positive boost after they defeated Liverpool 3-0, which then resulted in them just being four points away from first.

Now, this loss gives Manchester City a lot more work to do if they are to remain in the Premier League title race, but can they do it? That is the question they’ll need to answer, as currently it does seem as though Manchester City have made things rather tough for themselves, especially since a lot of this will depend on Arsenal’s results.

But the Premier League has a long way to go just yet. Nothing is set in stone, and there is still everything to play for. Each result is still very crucial, and as the league goes on, they become even more so.

The next match weekend will be on the 29th and 30th of November, closing off the month.

Manchester City will be meeting Leeds, while Chelsea vs Arsenal will be a vital fixture for the table.

This is what the Premier League table looks like after the twelfth match weekend.
