Manchester City Women are preparing for their start to the upcoming season.

Manchester City Women's team are looking ahead to the start of the new season, which gets underway in September.

The football season for the women will be getting started in almost a month's time, with the Women's Super League beginning on the 5th September, and the first match will be coming between Manchester City and Chelsea.

Manchester City will be hoping to make an impression in their opening game against one of their biggest rivals, Chelsea, as they aim to make a success of themselves after a few seasons of disappointment.

There will be three available titles for the Sky Blues: The Women's Super League, the FA Cup and the FA League Cup, which has just announced its group draw.

In their work towards achieving these aims, they have made several changes to their squad, including the exits of Chloe Kelly, Laia Aleixandri, and Jill Roord, as well as recruitment through the signings of Iman Beney, Jade Rose, and Sydney Lohmann. They also secured new managerial personnel, with Andree Jeglertz becoming their coach ahead of the season.

They will be working towards claiming silverware this time, and their first opportunity to really prove themselves as candidates, potentially ending in a win, would be a huge boost for the club going forward.

One of the names to have participated in the European Championships' tournament was Kerstin Casparij, who represented Netherlands, but her time was cut short as her nation fell to third place in their group, beneath France and England.

Speaking ahead of the new season, Casparij discussed her excitement to get started.
