Manchester City’s women’s team are set to take on their sixth Women’s Super League fixture this match weekend, and it's another massive task they have upcoming.

Manchester City’s women are preparing for another Women’s Super League fixture, as they aim to claim three crucial points.

So far, the Cityzens have had quite the positive beginning to their WSL season. Despite losing to Chelsea, they have since then claimed victories over Brighton, Tottenham, London Lionesses, and, recently, over Arsenal. They now aim to do the same against their next opposition, Liverpool.

Their win last match weekend saw them go to within just one point of leaders Chelsea, but they also have Tottenham, Manchester United and Arsenal following, and also Brighton and London not too away. Manchester City must be claiming wins if they are to be able to compete with these other clubs, and if they are to be contenders for the league title going ahead.

Gaining wins is vital for all of these sides, but currently, Manchester City, who are the closest to becoming the new WSL leaders, but they'll have to achieve positive results out of these tasks.

For their opponent, Liverpool, they are in a different scenario. They are currently without any points and looking to find their first ones against Manchester City.

This will also be the last WSL fixture for both of these sides, and also for the Women's Super League itself, as next weekend will be for the FA League Cup, and then the international break arrives for the women.
