Manchester City are back in action on Sunday, facing Sunderland in the Premier League at the Etihad Stadium. It has been a fine start to the season for Enzo Maresca's men, who have so far moved on seamlessly from life under Pep Guardiola, winning all of their Premier League games so far.
City made easy work of Norwich City in the Carabao Cup during the week, continuing to build momentum after that huge away Manchester derby win over Manchester United with just 10 men.
Crucially, City are keeping pace with champions Arsenal, who have also started faultlessly, and that could look even more important come the end of the season.
Sunderland, meanwhile, are coming off the back of a defeat to Arsenal in terms of Premier League results, but they have since beaten AZ Alkmaar in the Conference League to regain some confidence.
The Black Cats have won just once in the Premier League so far, drawing once and losing the other two. Sunderland will be hoping to push towards the European spots again this season, but you would imagine their actual European campaign this season will take up a significant part of their focus, given how rarely the club has been in Europe over the years.

Sunderland: Romaine Mundle - Out
Mundle is going to be out for a long stretch with a knee issue. Regis Le Bris has said: "Romaine has a knee injury, which is a shame because he had a good pre-season. We will support him and hope he is ready by the end of the year" Mundle is likely to return early next year.
Sunderland: Habib Diarra - Out
Le Bris has said of Diarra recently: "Habib is in the middle of his recovery." Diarria is expected to return after the international break, around mid-October.
Sunderland: Reinildo Mandava - Out (Suspended)
Mandava is suspedned until after the international break due to a red card.
Man City: Phil Foden - Out (Suspended)
Foden received a red card in the Manchester derby and will now serve a longer suspension due to it being violent conduct.
Man City: Jeremy Doku - Doubt
Doku could return from his calf issue in what would be a big boost for Maresca. The City boss said this week: "Jeremy is quite close - we are happy!" The winger will be assessed ahead of this one.
