Manchester City are back in action on Wednesday night when they face RB Leipzig away from home in the Champions League. City go into this one looking to bounce back from their Premier League defeat to Brighton last time out.

City boss Enzo Maresca admitted his disappointment after that game, calling out the defence, in particular. He said: "It's a very similar feeling to what we had after the Aston Villa game. We created enough to get some points, but we didn't score.

"In this moment, it's like this. I think today we did enough to deserve something, but at this moment, we need to move on and try to win games. At this moment, we are probably conceding silly goals that we can avoid, and hopefully avoid them in the next game. For sure, we are not happy."

Who is out for Manchester City and RB Leipzig ahead of Champions League match

City have found plenty of joy in the Champions League this season, with two wins from three, and the one defeat did come against back-to-back champions PSG.

As for Leipzig, they come into this one off the back of a 2-0 away win over Schalke, and they are currently in fourth place in the Bundesliga. Leipzig were well beaten in their last Champions League game, losing 4-1 to Real Madrid.

The German side has endured a disappointing Champions League campaign so far, picking up just three points from their first three games, and they will likely need another couple of wins to stand a chance of progressing to the playoff round.

This will be a tough away clash for City, but they head to Germany with some wrongs to right, and Maresca will want to see his men learn from the last few games, which have seen them concede 11 goals in their last six games across all competitions.

Man City's Antoine Semenyo - Out

Semenyo is going to be out until sometime in December.

Enzo Maresca said over the weekend, "He’s good. He’s in a good mood. He’s in the building, doing the recovery sessions and the therapy that he needs, but it’s too early for now."

RB Leipzig's Assan Ouédraogo - Out

Ouédraogo is not going to be back from his shoulder injury until the end of the year.

RB Leipzig's Marc Guiu - Out

Guiu is not expected to return from a muscular issue here.

RB Leipzig's Maxime Esteve - Doubt

Esteve missed the weekend's clash with a knock, so he will remain a doubt here.
