If you'd picked Marc Guehi or Josko Gvardiol for your FPL squads this weekend, you chose wisely! Both City players scored in City's EPL opener against Bournemouth, Guehi heading in the equaliser from a Rayan Cherki corner followed by an injury time winner from Gvardiol after the Croatian got on the end of some magical work from Rayan Cherki.

Guehi received 10 FPL points this weekend, with Gvardiol getting 9. Two of the biggest points scorers of any Premier League defenders this week!

Other City defenders received points, too. Matheus Nunes got one point after coming on as a sub. Starting captain Ruben Dias received two, as did Nico O' Reilly and Abdukodir Khusanov. Rico Lewis received one point.

Into midfield. Antoine Semenyo started wide left against Bournemouth but couldn't score or assist. Semenyo received two points, alongside City new boy Elliot Anderson. Phil Foden gets one point, alongside Jack Grealish and Mateo Kovacic who both came on as subs.

Rayan Cherki came off the bench to grab two assists to help his side to an opening day victory. Cherki gets 8 points after a sterling performance.

It would be easier to ask how many people didn't pick Erling Haaland for FPL Gameweek One. Unfortunately for Haaland, and the millions who picked him, the Striking Viking failed to score. He had chances, too, but couldn't quite find the back of the net. Haaland picks up two points.

The other Man City player to earn FPL points this weekend was goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. The Italian received three points after making a couple of good saves to keep his side in it.
