Manchester City have announced the official arrival of young midfielder Claudio Echeverri, who signed for the club back in 2024.

Manchester City have brought 19-year-old Claudio Echeverri into the squad, who signed for the Sky Blues last year and then spent his time growing in experience at River Plate.

His loan with the South American side has come to an end and Echeverri has arrived to compete with the Manchester City squad.

The Argentine agreed upon a contract that sees him at the Premier League club up till 2028. Now, Echeverri has joined his new club for the first time since that deal was completed and will be aiming to unlock the potential that the Cityzens have seen in him and become a regular name for them as the seasons go by.

There have been many new additions to the Manchester City squad during the last month or so, as Echeverri joins Omar Marmoush, Abdukodir Khusanov, Nico Gonzalez and Vitor Reis as the new faces within in the training ground.

Manchester City's intentions have been clear during the latest transfer window, which was to secure the club with young and upcoming talents to help them in the years to come.

Omar Marmoush has already shown his impressive presence in the line-up, as has Nico Gonzalez. Khusanov has been improving during his appearances, while Vitor Reis hasn't had too many minutes just yet.
