Manchester City Chairman Khaldoon Al Mubarak recently spoke about the club's latest campaign and shared his thoughts.

Manchester City's term came to an end last Sunday after they secured third place in the Premier League after a 2-0 victory over Fulham.

An intense battle with four other opponents went down to the wire, but Manchester City were successful in achieving their task, along with Chelsea and Newcastle, who also joined Liverpool and Arsenal within the top five. Aston Villa and Nottingham Forest were the other two contenders, but they were only able to secure sixth and seventh by the end of the last match weekend.

The Sky Blues are now done with commitments and have a break until the start of the new edition FIFA Club World Cup, which gets underway in the middle of June and will last a month. This will not only be an opportunity for the club to claim a trophy but also to get things back on track, almost using it as a chance for building themselves back up.

Manchester City's chairman, Khaldoon Al Mubarak, gave an interview talking about all different things regarding the Cityzens and giving his view on the situation the club faced this campaign, where the only positive that came was finishing the Premier League in the top five.

"We will be back. This season is a season that's now behind us. Today is a new day. We will take all the good things and not-so-good things and learn from it and improve."

"I can assure you, this club will do everything possible to come back to the standards that we know we all can achieve and that we know we will achieve."

"Everyone I saw after the Fulham game, all the players, they're excited, they're excited about coming back. They want to come back hungry, and I can see the hunger."

"We're going to come back with a lot of positivity."
