Jeremy Doku is taking care of business for Manchester City, but it may be too late. City picked up a big win over Brentford over the weekend to keep the title race alive, though Arsenal also did their job.

Pep Guardiola's men know they are going to have to win all of their last three games and pray that Arsenal slip up against Burnley or - more likely - Crystal Palace.

Doku is engineering the title race

It's going to be a big ask for City, and they know it, but that can take plenty of encouragement from the form of Doku, who has been superb in this run-in. The winger scored again against Brentford, and that made it four goals and one assist in the last five games, highlighting his clear importance to this City title charge.

Speaking after the Brentford game, Guardiola said: "Jeremy is outstanding in many things. Looks like a final product already and of course he can improve. Always had this incredible ability to dribble and to make action and connection, it's outstanding."

"But now it's winning games. I'm so incredibly pleased to have a guy that brings energy and that can score goals."

But Guardiola also highlighted what is becoming more and more obvious, which is that Arsenal are now clearly in the driving seat, given the games they have left.

He added: "We will see, that is not in our hands. We will do our job. We didn't do it perfectly with Everton. We will do our job and wait. We suffered in the first minutes today but after that we played a really good game. Especially left side in the first half, both sides in the second."

Burnley are not going to beat Arsenal, and while there is some hope about Crystal Palace on the final day, especially given it is at Selhurst Park, City know that their efforts may well be in vein, including those of Doku.

Regardless, City need to win their remaining games and at least put the pressure on Arsenal. That will only make things more difficult, and from there, if the Gunners go on to win it, then they will at least have had to work for it.

Though, there is no hiding the fact that City have the trickier games, facing Palace themselves ahead of games against AFC Bournemouth and Aston Villa - two very good teams - and those two games will come after the FA Cup final with Chelsea, which will be another exhaustive effort, given the size of the occasion.
