Manchester City faced Brentford in a midweek Premier League clash and were subjected to a last-minute 2-2 draw.
After three successful results prior, Manchester City were looking to build on the positive turnaround they seemed to be making, however, despite being 2-0 up in the 80th minute, they conceded two goals which prevented them the win.
It was a Phil Foden brace in the second half, both goals coming a little more than 10 minutes apart from each other, and the Cityzens looked to be heading for their fourth victory in a row.
But, like many times before this season, Man City were just not able to see the match out and collect their three points; instead, their shaky defence came into play and they conceded a goal in the 82nd minute, scored by Yoane Wissa, and then again in the 92nd minute of stoppage time, this time the heroic act coming from Christian Noorgard.
After this result, Manchester City add only one point to their total on the Premier League table; keeping them outside the top four and currently ranked on sixth.
Chelsea (fifth), Newcastle United (fourth), Nottingham Forest (third), Arsenal (second) and Liverpool (first) all remain ahead of the Sky Blues.
Pep Guardiola reaction
"It's happened. One day, we take the decisions, today no (Tuesday). I'm not complaining at all to the players."
"I'm just here to make an analysis. We have three against three, two against two, but we didn't do it and it's happened."
"It's about how we can do a little better. It's not about this being the reason we drew. We produced a lot of actions, but we didn't finish. Savinho, Phil (Foden), Matheus (Nunes), Erling (Haaland) have incredible pace, but we didn't finish."
"It will improve. Of course, we are sad because we were so close to winning but we did not win."
"Always there are positives and negatives. We are happy for many things we have done but I would say it has not been enough. Up front, the people create a lot.
"The last minutes we didn't manage well at 2-0; but, after 2-1, we managed well, sometimes that happens."
"Brentford have always been a really tough opponent because they are an honest team and I like the way they play. The fatigue against Brentford in the last 15 minutes is normal. I don't have anything to regret. Recover and go to the next match."
