Manchester City are set to start their FA Cup campaign this upcoming weekend, where they will meet Salford City.
Manchester City will start their 24/25 FA Cup journey this upcoming Saturday, in a match against Salford City, who are currently in League Two and ranked third on the table.
Man City's season hasn't been up to their usual standards by any means. While their journey in the League Cup came to an end against Tottenham, it also seems like their chances of winning in the Premier League look almost non-existent. Even though they are 22nd in the UEFA Champions League, there are still two matchdays to go, which gives them plenty of time to start improving if they are to be contenders in the competition.
Now, the FA Cup has arrived and with how poor things have gone for the Sky Blues; they'll be hoping this is the tournament where they can go far in and even possibly win the title.
Pep Guardiola gives injury update ahead of Salford clash
"(Ruben Dias) Not yet. He feels better, but not ready. I don't know when. (Oscar Bobb) is training with the team partially. That's good news for us. He's fine, but good news, he is back."
"Ederson is fine, but John Stones, no." confirmed the boss. While the goalkeeper is fit enough to participate, the same cannot be said for John Stones, who won't be returning anytime soon.
Guardiola then moved on to discuss the meeting itself, giving praise to the League Two side and his hopes for his own club in this fixture.
"The last six matches, six clean sheets and six victories, so I have such respect for them (Salford) and what they do, the intensity and we will take it seriously like we always have done."
"Hopefully, we can do a good match and make it three wins in a row - it's a long time since it happened.
