Manchester City have a huge task ahead of them as they must overturn their first leg 3-2 defeat to Real Madrid as the second leg approaches.
After landing in the playoff positions, Manchester City and Real Madrid were drawn against each other in a dramatic tie to determine who will play in the round of 16 and who will be out of this season's Champions League in a very shocking exit.
In the first installment of this tie, which also marked the fourth time in a row the two clubs have played against one another, Man City were faced with a 3-2 loss to the defending champions, despite leading 2-1 thanks to an Erling Haaland brace, in the 86th minute they lost control and went on to lose the match.
Now, their UCL journey hangs by a thread and the only way they can survive is if they can claim a victory over Real Madrid next week. While this will be quite the monumental assignment, the Cityzens will be hoping for a special performance that can take them into the next round.

"Now it's a matter of belief. How much do we believe in ourselves, how much do we believe we can go through?"
"Obviously we're aware, we know exactly the game we're going to play. It will only be about how much we believe in ourselves."
"The good thing, at the end of the day is that in this team and this club, if we believe enough in ourselves and if we believe enough that we're going to win, we can do everything and we have enough gun power to pull off anything. But we need to believe."
Manchester City will meet Real Madrid for the second leg on Wednesday, the 19th where they will need to achieve something incredible for their UCL journey to continue beyond this stage.
