Manchester City met Juventus in matchday six of the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night and like recent stories, City were faced with another defeat losing 2-0 to the Serie A club.

Manchester City are now three games without a win in this season's Champions League, first their 4-1 thrashing by Sporting CP, then Feyenoord's 3-3 draw comeback and now a 2-0 loss by Juventus.

While that statistic is already worrying enough, the 2-0 defeat marks City's seventh loss in their last 10 matches, alongside two draws and only one victory.

Manchester City ended matchday six of the League phase with eight points in 22nd place, three spots away from elimination. There are only two more matchdays remaining, and for Man City, they will next take on Paris Saint-Germain, who are currently ranked 25th, and finally, club brugge, who are on 19th.

Pep Guardiola once again reflects on a defeat

"Of course it's tough. Except one or two games in this period that were not good, we played quite similarly, and I give credit to Juventus. Tonight, I don't think it was defensive mistakes much. That was not the reason (for the loss), other games yes but not today."

"I love my team the way we play and the result is not going to convince me of the opposite. Congratulations on the way they defended, in the transitions they did it. But we were incredibly aggressive in our high pressing. But the way we played, I'm really pleased."

"Yes, of course, I have my thoughts. I say that every game we played I analyse. What happened in the results is one question I am asking here: what do I play today to play really good?"

"Of course, in moments question myself in the good momenst and the bad moments. Of course, I tried to find a way and do it but the was there."

"I'm incredibly honest about knowing when we don't play good or play good, always the game will save us. For the results confidence gives us, results gives us a boost and we can do it."

"But today we conceded few, few, few chances when you compare it for example Nottingham Forest or some other Premier League games that we won because we're playing in the right tempo."

"What has happened, that is life. It happened. We have to accept it like a normality that sometimes we have bad periods with results and we're going to insist, insist, insist until the end."
