Full list of Man City stars called up for international duty

After four weeks of exhilarating club football, international games are set to make a return for the first time since the conclusion of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in July. Manchester City played a staggering eight games in a space of just 35 days in this first phase of the 2026-27 season, winning all but one: the 3-0 loss to Arsenal in the Community Shield.

Since that defeat, which highlighted the scale of the rebuilding job for new manager Enzo Maresca, the Sky Blues have slowly picked up the pace. They are now the only team to have won all five fixtures of the new league campaign and have also cantered into the fourth round of the EFL Cup following a 5-0 drubbing of Norwich City.

Although club games take a hiatus for the next three weeks for an extended international break, City's players seem to have no respite, with many of them called up by their national teams.

Here's a complete list of Man City players to keep an eye on during the international window

Goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma has been called up by Italy's new manager Robert Mancini, who has announced a massive roster of 34 players, although most of them are young and inexperienced.

City's Portuguese contingent Ruben Dias and Matheus Nunes will both be playing for the Selecao, whereas Mateo Kovacic and Josko Gvardiol are both joining Croatia's national team.

Although the Citizens have several English players in their ranks, only Nico O'Reilly, Marc Guehi, and summer signing Elliot Anderson have been summoned by Three Lions manager Thomas Tuchel.

Phil Foden, who was omitted by Tuchel from his World Cup squad, has been dropped for their Nations League fixtures too.

Following a fine start to the season, Rayan Cherki has made the cut in new French manager Zinedine Zidane's squad for their upcoming UEFA Nations League fixtures.

However, Jeremy Doku, a key player for Belgium during their World Cup campaign, misses out this time on account of a calf injury he sustained in the loss to Arsenal last month.

Erling Haaland will once again lead the charge for Norway after spearheading their historic World Cup campaign, during which he bagged seven goals for them.

Meanwhile, City's African contingent, Antoine Semenyo, Ayoub Bouaddi, and Iliman Ndiaye, will be a part of the AFCON qualifiers for Ghana, Morocco, and Senegal, respectively.

Argentina has called up both Enzo Fernandes and Geronimo Rulli, while Vitor Reis is in line for his international debut with Brazil after Carlo Ancelotti included him in their upcoming friendlies. Allan, though, misses out.

Defender Abdukodir Khusanov is among the marquee players in the Uzbekistan squad.
